Also quite a lot about how lax FERC is in using what subpoena powers it does
have to get information it needs to really see what's going on. ---------------------- Forwarded by Rebecca W Cantrell/HOU/ECT on 06/04/2001 05:19 PM --------------------------- Nancy Bagot@ENRON 06/04/2001 04:17 PM To: Shelley Corman/Enron@EnronXGate, Mary Kay Miller/ET&S/Enron@ENRON, Drew Fossum/Enron@EnronXGate, Robert Kilmer/Enron@EnronXGate, Janet Butler/Enron@EnronXGate, Dari Dornan/ET&S/Enron@ENRON, Glen Hass/ET&S/Enron@ENRON, Bambi Heckerman/Enron@EnronXGate, Frazier King/Enron@EnronXGate, Teb Lokey/Enron@EnronXGate, Dorothy McCoppin/Enron@EnronXGate, Ray Neppl/Enron@EnronXGate, Maria Pavlou/Enron@EnronXGate, Janet Place/Enron@EnronXGate, Michele Winckowski/Enron@EnronXGate, Joe Hartsoe/Corp/Enron@ENRON, dbva@radix.net, Linda Robertson/NA/Enron@ENRON, Lora Sullivan/Corp/Enron@ENRON, Ray Alvarez/NA/Enron@ENRON, Sarah Novosel/Corp/Enron@ENRON, Tom Briggs/NA/Enron@Enron, John Shelk/NA/Enron@Enron, Pat Shortridge/Corp/Enron@Enron, Carin Nersesian/NA/Enron@Enron, Rebecca W Cantrell/HOU/ECT@ECT, Leslie Lawner/NA/Enron@Enron cc: Subject: San Jose article Criticizing FERC Attached is a two-part series article (from this past Saturday and Sunday) from the San Jose Mercury News on FERC, the energy crisis, and FERC's inability to monitor the markets (and it's cozy relationship with industry). Apparently it is making the rounds at FERC and causing quite a bit of agita... I've read through Part 2, and so far it's all on the power side, but there are quite a few FERC staff, both policy, enforcement and economists, mentioned and criticized.
