Subject: Please Respond by Noon CDT Monday, 8/6 -- Enron Comments in RP01-486 (Another Complaint against El Paso)

Attached is the draft of Enron Corp. comments to be filed Monday in another El Paso complaint proceeding - this one filed by the East of California full requirements customers, alleging that El Paso has knowingly oversold its system and should be required to dedicate the currently filed expansions to meet its existing obligations. Further, they want FERC to require El Paso to construct additional expansions if necessary. Of course, they deny that the full requirements contracts have any responsibility in all of this.

Our comments refer to our position in the RP01-484 proceeding and request consolidation of these two proceedings since they deal with the same issues - albeit from opposing sides.
