This is a notification from ERCOT staff of the suspension of ENRON Power Marketing, Inc. (EPM) as a QSE in the ERCOT market in accordance with the ERCOT Protocols. ERCOT has suspended the QSE qualification status of EPM effective midnightNovember 30, 2001. Load Serving Entities (LSEs) and Resources represented by ENRON have been notified of EPM's suspension. These entities will be assigned to Automated Power Exchange (APX), the current default QSE in the ERCOT market, effective at midnighttonight. APX will assume scheduling responsibilities for these entities beginning with the day-ahead schedules on Saturday December 1, 2001, for the operating day of Sunday, December 2, 2001.


EPM's day-ahead schedules submitted on Friday, November 30, 2001will be used for the operating day of Saturday, December 1, 2001. These Saturday schedules, including trades, will be "locked-in" and will not be available for adjustments by EPM during the ERCOT Adjustment Periods. APX will continue to provide default QSE services for 72 hours ending at midnighton Monday, December 3, 2001. ERCOT will work with the entities affected to assist them in making the transition to a permanent QSE.
