NYMEX: Crude to open higher on short covering
NYMEX March crude oil is called to open 26 cts higher at $19.24/bbl Wednesday.
March Brent is called to open 26 cts
higher at $19.00/bbl. February heating oil is called to open 59 pts higher at
52.00 cts/gal, and February unleaded gasoline is called to open 71 pts higher at
55.50 cts/gal.

IPE Brent Focus: IPE Brent crude firms ahead of API stats release
Front-month March stood at $19.08/bbl at 1039 GMT, up 33 cts from Tuesday's
settlement having begun trading at $18.86/bbl, the low of the day so far. April
showed similar gains.

UK's BG makes revised offer for Enron India E+P assets
UK's BG Group Wednesday announced a revised agreement to buy Enron Oil & Gas
India Limited for $350-mil, 10% less than the $388-mil price tag attached to its
first bid for the company in October last year.

US senator favors federal role in developing Alaska pipe
Unveiling his Democratic alternative to the Bush energy plan, US Senator John
Kerry (Democrat-Massachusetts) Tuesday said the federal government must play a

Texas MTBE plant owner EOTT sees share price plunge
Shares of EOTT Energy Partners LP plunged Tuesday after the company, whose
