The Houston Heights Association hosts the 2001 Holiday in the Heights this
coming weekend on Friday, Nov. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 1, from 6-9 p.m. and
3-9 p.m., respectively. The annual home tour features both new and old homes
with varying exterior and interior styles, and wonderful holiday
decorations. Tour homes include:

831 Cortlandt, home of Mark McKinnon
1603 Cortlandt, home of John Moraida and Joe Baugh
327 W. 16th Street, home of Kirk Speck
1301 Tulane, home of Lisa and Don DeAngelo
1236 Rutland, home of Ann and Sal Guercio
1137 Allston, home of Stasi and Damian Ogier

As an alternative to driving between each of the homes, METRO will be
running trolleys and mini-buses along the tour route. For the convenience of
attendees, cars can be parked and the trolley or mini-bus can be boarded at
St. Andrews House, located at 1811 Heights Blvd. Tickets, restrooms and
light refreshments will also be available at St. Andrews House during the
tour.

Advance tickets, which cost $13, can be purchased online at
http://www.houstonheights.org/holidayhometour.htm and are also be available
at Buchanan's Native Plants, Harold in the Heights, and Old Fashioned
Things. Tickets on the day of the event will be available at each home and
St. Andrews House at 1811 Heights for $15.
