hi grant

I mailed the paperwork to the Y (on Bellaire) on Monday last week per the instructions of the Indian Princess leader at the Y. I also sent the check for 170.

< YATAHE..... Well, I just left the Chiefs meeting and what an
<experience...I wanted to get some issues to you guys asap so you could
<make the necessary mental notes and additional items as well. CAMP
<CULLEN By now all of you should have all the information regarding the
<upcoming CAMP CULLEN outing. More specifically I need to make sure
<everyone has directions. If you do not let me know asap. I also have all
<the paraphernalia from when you registered for the camp out. I will
<distribute it to you guys at Camp Cullen. What I need to know <from
<the following individuals ( Cancelmo, Cox, Michaels, Rapp ) is 1. Did
<you turn in your paperwork YES or NO 2. If you did when did you do it ?
<You guys are the only 4 people missing from my stuff. If you have not
<signed up you need to do this by COB tomorrow 10/17/01.If you are going
<to have difficulty tomorrow due to scheduling, then call me or page me
<asap..I need to know by COB tomorrow ( 10/17/01 ) what you answer is so I
<can make sure to have you go by the YMCA and pick up your stuff. (
<Depending on my schedule I may be able to do it ). Departure, I believe
<everyone is coming up on Friday afternoon/night ( except for Cox in the
<AM on Saturday and Linesch's are out of town and are not going )...I plan
<on picking up Little Rainbow after school and then be on the road by no
<later than 4:00 PM CST...For those who want to follow me please let me
<know ASAP via e-mail so we can coordinate. The drive ( depending on
<traffic and which route you take 59 North vs. 45 North ) is about 1 hour
<to 1 1/2 hours..My plan is to get a bite to eat on the road.. Camp Cullen
<will be open until about 10:00 PM CST on Friday night. I need to know
<from everyone what your plans for traveling up to Camp Cullen are and
<about what time you expect to be there so I can be looking for you
<guys...The reason is that Brave Denny "Denali" Cancelmo and I are going
<to have our own Bond Fire Friday night at a special place at Camp Cullen.
<Therefore if we leave the cabin you will know were we are. If you are
<coming up Friday night please bring a little firewood for our Bond
<Fire... Don't forget your Princesses Totem Pole Block. CAMP CULLEN -
<SCHEDULE When you arrive you will need to check in and find out which
<cabin the APACHE TRIBE is in. We will be on Boys Ridge or Girls Ridge.
<They will provide you with a map to get around. On Friday night they will
<have a Hay Ride at 8:00 PM and snacks at 8:30 PM...My goal is to get our
<Bond Fire going shortly thereafter if not before...On Saturday morning we
<will eat breakfast ( depending on which ridge we are on at 7:00 AM Girls
<Ridge or 8:00 AM Boys Ridge ). On Saturday/Sunday we will have 3
<scheduled events ( Indian Ways, Horseback Riding, and Rifle shooting ). We
<will have 3 additional activities that we will schedule on our own (
<Archery, Arts & Crafts, and Canoes ). On Saturday afternoon we may have
<an option to go to a local rodeo. ( I have taken the initiative and told
<the Head Chief that our tribe would be interested in this ).The rodeo is
<in Trinity, Texas. On Saturday night the big BOND FIRE will commence and
<all the Princess and Braves will be initiated. I would like each Dad to
<walk up with their Princess in single file line so we get initiated (
<This consists of the Princesses getting Buffalo Blood spot on their
<forehead and the Braves with a piece of ash on their forehead ). I have
<been instructed that the Princesses need to wear their Headbands and Red
<YMCA T-Shirts ( all of which I have and will bring ) to the Bond Fire. I
<would like to get the Princesses organized beforehand as I have a
<surprise for them ( Special Warrior Face Paint and Warrior Necklaces
<)...Dads no spoiling the surprises. Depending on scheduling we should be
<through pretty early on Sunday so everyone can leave fairly early. They
<want us all out by 12:00 Noon on Sunday. I need EVERYONE please to
<respond to me via e-mail or voice mail that you got this message and I
<know what you guys are doing.. November 9, 10 and 11 Camp Out -
<Lake Texana or Lakes of Danbury Brave "Big Harvest " Michaels, I have
<not heard about Lakes of Danbury yet but if that is an option please let
<me know by COB Thursday 10/18/01... In the meantime I have reserved 2
<Camp Spots at Lake Texana for us for the weekend of November 9, 10 and
<11. As I understand it the fishing trip is only for 50 people ( combined
<Braves and Princesses ) and not many are interested. Secondly, I talked to
<other Chiefs and they are interested in a campout with us too. So it
<maybe alot of fun... I need to know from you guys by Friday whether
<or not you want to go and if so how many days would you like to go.
<Friday/Saturday/ Sunday or Saturday/ Sunday. Even if you don't have all
<the camping gear it is not a problem as we can get it...I have several
<activities that we could do as a group and it would be a blast. Please let
<me know asap. The cost is minimal as our Princesses are free and I
<believe it is $3.00 per Brave per day at Lake Texana ( we would bring all
<our food and prepare all our own meals...) Please make sure you
<follow-up on the above and let me know if there is anything else that you
<need or have questions on..
