will hear arguments Friday on whether federal bankruptcy law permits the wh=
olesale preemption of state law and regulation necessary for PG&E's reorgan=
ization plan to be confirmed. PG?and the California Public Utilities Commi=
ssion are also expected to discuss with the judge whether a separate mediat=
or is needed to attempt to resolve conflicts regarding the plan. Look for =
