RED FLAG WARNING THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING DUE TO DRY LIGHTNING
ABOVE 5000 FEET IN THE SIERRA NEVADA FROM STANISLAUS NF SOUTH TO THE


KERN COUNTY LINE...NFDRS ZONES 531-534, 540, 551...
THE ATMOSPHERE OVER THE WARNING AREA WILL BECOME MORE UNSTABLE TODAY


WITH THE MID LEVEL DRYING. THIS SITUATION WILL HELP TO PRODUCE
SCATTERED DRY THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING IN THE WARNING


AREA. MOISTURE IN THE LOWER LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE WILL REMAIN
LOW...AND THERE WILL BE A THREAT OF DRY LIGHTNING.
PLEASE ADVISE THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS OR FIRE CREWS IN THE FIELD
OF THIS RED FLAG WARNING.
