Since we were together Tom checked the website for the New Orleans Wine and
Food Experience. Tom discovered it is now held in May. The 2002 program is
up and gives all the details. The dates are May 22 - 26, 2002. If you wish
to check it out here it is: http://www.nowfe.com/ . After you have a chance
to consider it, perhaps we can decide as a group whether we want to take
this on, either in whole or in part.
We will get back to you later on our available dates for January.

< Thanks to Hattie and Jim McKinley for both planning the menu and opening
< their home for our dining pleasure on November 3! The theme was
< Cajun/Creole and Hattie assigned recipes based on the Brennan family
legacy
< of fine dining establishments in Louisiana and Texas. From Sam Cook's
crab
< puffs, to Hattie's Shrimp Remoulade and salad, to Lester Buck's Oyster &
< Artichoke Soup, to Kim & John's Crab Imperial, to Jerilynn & Tom's
wonderful
< bread pudding souffle, the entire meal was truly fantastic.

< Jennifer and Jerry were unable to attend, but reported that they had a
great
< time on their Caribbean cruise, even though it rained every day. They
< missed a great meal! (although being on a cruise, they probably didn't
miss
< it too much...)

< During the appetizers, Tom & Jerilynn talked about how much fun they had
< attending the "New Orleans Wine and Food Experience," typically held in
July
< every year. There was discussion about the group booking hotel rooms and
< traveling to the Big Easy for this '02 summer event. If anyone has access
< to a large van, motorhome or small bus, we could make the trip together
and
< have a great time!

< For the January gathering, the group decided that another dinner out was
in
< order. We decided that we would visit Mark's American Cuisine on a
Saturday
< night in January. Everyone is to check their calendars and get back to me
< with the dates that do NOT work for them. Reply to this message and

< After the Mark's event, Tom & Jerilynn invited us to their home in March
