Another friendly reminder for your support for the American Heart Walk on Nov 3. I thank you all.
Several of you have pledged your support. Please submit to me your tax deductible contribution by 29 October, Monday so I can turn our team's collection in before the deadline of 30 October, Tuesday. In order to obtain Enron's matching gift in behalf of your donation, I also would like your GIS number (900...) since the matching gift program now has gone paperless. Alternatively, you could use Enron's matching gift website to request the company match. My inter-office address is Mail stop ECS 03-455. Check should be made out to American Heart Association. I sincerely appreciate your support. The heart walk is a national event held in communities throughout America to raise funds for American Heart Association's fight against heart disease and stroke while increasing awareness of heart-healthy lifestyle. In Houston, for every dollar raised, $2.50 is returned for heart disease and stroke research. The venue is Sam Houston Park and walk will be along Allen Parkway, which will be closed to regular traffic. There are three ways you can support by: 1. Participating in the walk on Nov 3, 2. Raising funds for American Heart Association from your family and friends, 3. Making your own pledge and contribution. Each walker is expected to obtain pledges from his/her circle of supporters. Enron will match dollar for dollar and employees can submit match request online at www.easymatch.com/enron. You will need your GIS ID ( the 900... number NOT your P#). It is paperless. I have pledge forms for you to use to sign up your family and friends. It doesn't matter whether it's $5, $50, $100 or more, anything will be greatly appreciated. Please respond to me so I can provide you with your pledge form. Please note that the deadline to return all pledge forms with collected funds to me is 15 October.
